Brief Explanation

The film pays homage to disaster movies but with a flip - here the world that’s caught in the grip of a lethal outbreak belongs to cancer, and it’s humans that are causing the chaos: Payback Time for cancer! The cells live in a world of endless construction reflecting the ability of the disease to spread aggressively and relentlessly. A mysterious blue substance begins to contaminate the cells’ world, leading to catastrophic destruction. The end reveals this has all taken place inside a laboratory petri dish, with a human scientist introducing a blue drug into the cancer colony - “Time to die, cancer!”

Creative Execution

The music in this film is an original score that was created specifically for this film. We were invited to produce the original score for this dynamic film for 4Creative and CRUK. We decided upon a sound reminiscent of old disasters films. Collaborating with a brilliant composer,we used a combination of bombastic percussive lines, ominous male chorus, souring sopranos and frenetic strings. Collectively they create a dark and threatening backdrop as this world faces utter destruction.
