Brief Explanation

ING Netherlands supports many sustainable and educational projects around the world. Their goal is to build a better world for all children. To tell this story in a compelling way, we hand built a real better world out of recycled ING materials, rigged it with electric motors, and filmed it as it moved in front of the camera. Over a 1000 parts were assembled and all elements were designed and built to move. It worked very much like key-frame animation. Each motor, attached to, for instance a cow, paper airplane or tree, would get a start and end position. After all settings had been uploaded to the engines, the camera would roll and all elements would go through their respective motions. This included the rotation of the globe. 12 people worked on for 10 weeks straight. Resulting in a real life animated film, taking viewers on a trip around the world, visiting some of the most prominent ING projects.
