Brief Explanation

The main challenge was to create crafty hand made visual identity that would be unique in local beer market. The emphasis was to make the craft beer look like it is originated in the backyard brewery, not brewed at the biggest and most modern industrial brewery in Lithuania.

The Brief

To create a visual identity for experimental Red Brick Beer Workshop, which has been launched by the biggest and mainstream beer brand in Lithuania - Svyturys. The mission of the craft brewery is to experiment and play with unconventional raw materials and give birth to small batches of unexpected and amusing sorts and flavours of beer to the customers.

How the final design was conceived

Compelling and natural, over-simplistic design declines all the décor-enriched beer designs, trying to merge the playful nature of craft beer with the sense of technological simplification, giving the feeling of hand-crafted quality. Sort names ironically embrace the sea.

Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market

The product was launched on a low key note to look as less marketed as possible. So the first feedback comes from once so sceptical beer enthusiasts and bloggers: - "Red brick brewing workshop Svyturys steps forward" - "All three beers are different and interesting. It was a totally unexpected move form Svyturys" - "No doubt it's a cure for Svyturys brand. Good news for beer lovers? Perhaps yet to come" - "I hope for more experiments in the future which would just get better"
