Brief Explanation
The graphical identity has two target groups: underprivileged children and the Hip youngsters.
So the graphical style has to be accessible but not childish.
The Brief
Create a corporate identity for a Brussels based circus school 'Circus Zonder Handen'.
The Brussels circus school “Circus Zonder Handen” faces next to its sporting challenge also a social challenge. It’s an urban meeting place where children with different backgrounds help each other to overcome their physical boundaries
How the final design was conceived
Business cards: The Circus school is all about moving and having a good time. Thanks to a couple of rubber bands, the front and back from a business card, and little effort from your opposable thumbs, we created a simple and playful 2D animation.
The letterheads: The letterheads embody the journey from beginner to expert. Folded, the letterhead acts as a metaphor for a beginning student, unfolded the expert is revealed. Practice makes perfect.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
Because it is a stationary with a visual story, people begin to play and interact with the business cards and the letterheads. By doing so they immediately understood the mission of Circus Zonder Handen.
