Brief Explanation
To show the Swiss how closely Emmentaler is linked with their country and is still their 'national
cheese' we created the special edition 'National Day Emmentaler': For our August National
Day, the Emmentaler was available as a limited edition 'National Day Emmentaler' featured with
an address to the nation and on the cheese loaf itself, illustrations on topics that reflect that
speech.
The Brief
The number of cheese varieties in Switzerland are on the rise, Switzerland's best-known cheese
has tended to get a little forgotten in its own country and in order to get the Swiss talking about
Emmentaler and increase consumption of the cheese, we made the most Swiss of all cheese,
even more Swiss.
How the final design was conceived
The wide cheese range available in the country and to show the Swiss population how closely Emmentaler is linked with their country, culture/heritage and is still their 'national cheese'.
Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market
The «National Day Emmentaler» went on sale two weeks prior to the National Day at the second-largest supermarket chain in the country and was completely sold out by our National Day.
