The animated piece, which has since been replace on our site, was aimed at our website’s target audience of senior executives serving large companies and government organizations. Visitors clicking through the animation were taken to a page on our website with detailed information on our services, insights, and success in delivering results to clients. Our team adapted the animation from a still image and published it to the website in late December, 2013.
The new pages exceeded our expectations. The new Accenture Digital section of our website received nearly six times as much traffic as other sections of our site. And the new main home page animation was clicked by visitors nearly 10 percent more times than the previous main home page feature on our site. All told, the new Accenture Digital pages received nearly 50,000 visits during the first five weeks of the new program, greatly enhancing our effort to promote our new capability.
In December of 2013, Accenture launched Accenture Digital—a new growth platform that integrates the company’s digital assets, software and services across digital marketing, mobility and analytics to help clients unleash the power of digital to drive growth and create new sources of value. To promote the new growth platform, we updated the home page of our global website, www.accenture.com, with an animated version of our digital advertising imagery. The imagery leverages a visual metaphor of a dandelion to illustrate the idea that Accenture’s approach to digital can help client grow their businesses in new ways.
