We shot 12, 000 video takes with a real interpreter, one per each word and then the developers had to program a linguistic engine to relate each sign video with its own word and apply it on signslator.com and the smartphone app.
Signslator was news in more than 300 online media. It was shared thousands of times on the social networks going viral on Twitter under its own hashtag. And what is more significant: Signslator is already been used in schools as a means of teaching the Spanish sign language.
Jury: Please judge the website for this submission.
ANICOLS is the association of Spanish sign language development and they wanted to make some noise about sign language. There are translators for every language in the world, even gujarati, however there aren’t sign language translators. That’s why we created SIGNSLATOR, the first Spanish sign language translator. A communication tool for both hearing and deaf people can communicate.
