Rewe is one of the most successful supermarket chains in Germany. The app acting as a tool for quick and easy shopping that’s fun to use! The core functionality is the digital shopping list, which currently features smart links to a recipe search and special offers of the week. A fun experience is guaranteed with personal and emotional appeal and a direct reference to REWE stores.
The app is designed for a range of scenarios – at home, out and about, and in store – and can be used quickly and easily, with all functions operable with just one hand. A fun user experience is guaranteed by an interface and animations that are fully touch-operated, with personal and emotional appeal and a direct reference to REWE stores.
In addition to one-off promotional activities, REWE wanted to develop a smartphone app that would build a sustainable channel to the customer. Rather than being a short-term attention grabber, the app’s main aim was to establish a direct, personal rapport with customers.
The app is intended for all REWE customers. (However, in the initial phase, the focus is on people with an affinity with new smartphones.)
