The Campaign

Children love to be online. But they don’t like to do chores. That’s why we designed an app for the “My Vodafone” hub that enables parents to reward their children with data volume when they help around the house.

Creative Execution

With „Data for Deed“, parents can share their mobile data volume – and allocate it to the children – whenever they do chores. They just need to allocate amounts of data volume to certain chores like vacuum cleaning, lawn mowing, or cleaning up the kid’s room. When children open up the app, they can choose one of the chores. And after completion, they can prove it by simply uploading a picture. The data volume then gets distributed at the touch of a button.

Thanks to „Data for Deed“, data volume becomes the pocket money of our time. And it’s working: In Germany more than 130.000 families are already using the app.

Children love to have a lot of data volume. And that’s exactly where we want to let them experience the power of Vodafone’s network. With „Data for Deed“ we found a playful way to show families the benefit of Vodafone’s new RED+ tariff by turning data volume into a modern kind of pocket money for the very first time.
