The Campaign
The service Paradiski YUGE is designed to simplify and personalise the skiers’ experience without interfering in their activity. It is the solution to accompany personally all holiday makers through their whole stay. The skiing experience is
enriched by the intelligent and innovative digitalisation of the Paradiski skiing area.
The app coupled to the physical digital installations on the domain composes the phygital service Paradiski YUGE.
Creative Execution
The app gives access to a whole set of contextualised information: weather forecast, skiing conditions, waiting time at the ski lifts, interactive maps, activity guide, ultra precise localisation and performance tracking.
Thanks to the use of new technologies (RFID, Wi-Fi…), additional digital services enrich the ski domain, such as additional Wi-Fi access points or photos/videos devices on the ski trails. For instance, the skiers only have to present their pass to the device to automatically take a shot, which is less than a minute later stored in their app.
All the communication around YUGE is done on owned media of the brand: Paradiski social media, Paradiski website and the website of the ski stations Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry and la Plagne with auto promo push, outdoor print on the domain and PR.
Q1: competition and selection of the agency
Q2: audit of the database, data model, business model, digital services brainstorming, user tests on mock-ups
Q3: DMP architecture, recommendation and development of the app matrix, user tests and validation phase
Q4: Tests and launch of the first version of the service
Within four months, 150 000 Paradiski skiers registered on the app.
There are more than 10 000 daily users.
90% of the Paradiski YUGE skiers use the service once or more during their stay and 50% of them use it 10 times of more.
The project involved creative technologists (R&D, mobile developers, backend engineers), data scientists, web analytics, digital and CRM consultants, UX/UI experts and creative teams. To offer personalised recommendations to the skiers, the agency first audited the data gathered on the Paradiski ecosystem and then created the data model “Profil 4D”, scanning the characteristics of every client.
YUGE is targeted at every holiday maker of the Paradiski domain. The services offered are useful to all level skiers: regular skiers enjoy the performance tracking, families appreciate the picture and video displays on the tracks to immortalise their descents while new comers to the domain are able to localise themselves and their friends in real time.
YUGE is a transparent service for the skier (digital passive). Without removing their mittens, the app regularly offers personalised suggestions and practical information to all the skiers to enjoy skiing as they never did before without interference.
