Brief Explanation

This summer, all eyes will be on the World Cup. But what about the millions of other games being played around the globe? As an official sponsor, Powerade wants to remind young footballers that every game matters, no matter where it’s played. Part of a series celebrating these matches, ‘Nico’ tells the inspirational, true story of Nicolai Calabria, a boy born with only one leg but more determination than most teams put together. Crafted from genuine home video footage and new live action, the film follows Nico as he grows up and defies expectations to become a leading player.
