The Brief

People love to travel, both for leisure and commercial purposes. But given the fast growing population and availability of various means of transportation to masses, mankind is facing a huge problem. A joyful experience of travelling has turned to an ordeal. Traffic jams and endless queues at car-parks and airports significantly prolong the journey, make it costly and fairly unpleasant. There are three ways to solve this: limit the population's growth, limit people's mobility or find a new means of transportation, exploiting the existing sources and infrastructure more effectively. The third option was the vision of the innovation project initiated by one of Slovakia's most inventive designers today, Stefan Klein. His project of AEROMOBIL flying car, as the concept is called, opened new possibilities for radical transformation in global individual transportation. After joining forces, co-founders of AeroMobil company Stefan Klein and Juraj Vaculik proved that Klein's current prototype is the real evidence of what the near-future transportation will look like. AEROMOBIL makes the most of a car and an airplane in many aspects. It flies, it drives, moreover in sleek design, and is usable with meaningful costs. And it's ready to be launched for mass production.

AEROMOBIL is a true and genuine flying car that represents innovation in individual and public transportation. It would save people's time and money, provide comfort and convenience and bring back joy and adventure to travelling as such. The innovation was created directly for customers, although currently it's in the prototype phase to be finalized and prepared for mass market production in near future. It's a completely new innovation built upon two existing platforms - a car and an airplane - utilizing the unique purposes of both in a brand new way.

AEROMOBIL solves the currently most appealing problems of human transportation by utilizing the existing infrastructure - roads and air space - maximizing their potential (fitting into a standard parking space, taking off and landing from and to a grass strip no longer than 200 meters, using vacant air levels up to 3000 meters). It also opens new possibilities in both design development and use for commercial purposes. It's a revolutionary approach to the yet not fully exploited form of transportation - creating a new conveyance for door-to-door travelling.
