English Translation of Main Headlines
Domestic violence needs to be talked about. More we talk about it easier it will be for victims, witnesses and even perpetrators to find the courage to stop it. The City of Helsinki wanted to remind people of the horror of domestic violence. We didn’t want to visualize it.We wanted the fear that goes along with domestic violence to hit home. Most people have sensed danger when being out in the city late at night. Our approach was to remind people of this feeling and to compare it to the feeling victims of domestic violence experience every day in their own homes.
