In Germany it’s tradition to give kids an advent calendar on the 1st of December. The calendar has 24 doors, hiding a chocolate treat, that kids open daily to count the days till Christmas eve.
“The magical Advent Calendar” tells the story of little Jonas – who would never share with his sister Sarah. On the 1st of December Jonas finds a magical advent calendar–but discovers that he can’t open the doors on his own.
An illustration on the door leads him to a neighboring family – and only with their help he manages to open the door and get the chocolate. Now he’s on the daily mission to find the right person. Through this experience he learns that life is more rewarding when you share. His transition from an egoistic boy to a caring brother climaxes on the 24th when he and Sarah share the last piece of chocolate.
