Brief Explanation

Fittle, the world’s first 3D-printed puzzle, is an innovative toy that helps children to learn braille words and also discover the shapes that the words represent in a playful and rewarding manner. The puzzles, designed by Ravensburger puzzle experts, are available online for free and can be 3D-printed anywhere at only material costs. Because of its accessibility, very low cost, and playfully educational qualities, Fittle is the small solution solving the big problem of braille literacy in the 3rd world. Through online content and in-packaging promotion, donations were sourced from the puzzle-community so that Ravensburger could provide 3D-printers to clinics and schools across India (where there are 22-million visually impaired people). Using this method, local manufacturing was made possible through global involvement, to ensure that the puzzles were affordable and easily accessible to the people that need them the most.
