Write a short summary of what happens in the film
Regina the bird loving pet shop lady had the most incredible trip to Paris and can’t stop parroting on about it to her customers. This clearly isn’t a first-time blunder as all the parrots and birds of the store chime in, turning her anecdotes into a bamboozling jungle of conversation. Her far too patient customer hopes for a quick exit, but is stuck. Left only with the option to nod along to her IRL holiday spam.
Cultural / Context information for the jury
Germans are particularly well known for bragging about their holidays, however this is also an international behavior.
Tell the jury about the casting process.
For the casting, character trumped beauty. As we looked for real people full of natural expressions. Steering clear of the more polished advertising clichés we searched for relatable people, the kind that we could all imagine ourselves running into on a bustling market square, or sat behind on a hop-on hop-off bus tour. People who are familiar, but stick with you and your memories.
