Write a short summary of what happens in the film
Opening on a helicopter crash, a squad of Ghosts drop into the archipelago of Auroa where they are immediately hunted by the Wolves, ex-brothers-in-arms gone rogue. With nothing but their training and each other to rely on, the four Ghosts must hide from drones while fighting to survive. As an intense shootout against the Wolves ensues, the trailer ends with "Survival Is Only the Beginning".
Cultural / Context information for the jury
A live-action trailer based around the upcoming video game "Ghost Recon", this military shooter is set in a diverse and hostile open world. Playable in solo or up to a 4 player co-op, players will discover the island Auroa in which they must fight against untamed nature while being hunted by a group of ex brothers-in-arms called the Wolves.
Tell the jury about the elements of sound design.
For the live action Ubisoft 'Ghost Recon' trailer, everything was built from the ground up. Only a few wild tracks were shot during the shoot and everything else was either made or sourced specifically for this film. Over 300 hours were spent recording and editing foley, which included trips to Hampstead Heath, the forest and lots of running about and rolling around. The helicopters were sourced and processed, the drones were built and recording of guns were stylized to give both sides of the battle their own sound. Great care and attention was taken to the mix to ensure it felt as dynamic and filmatic as possible, reaching a crescendo in the final battle scene.
