Write a short summary of what happens in the film
In the film you see an older man walking down „Reeperbahn“ – the infamous street in Hamburg known for its clubs, bars and red light district – looking rather sad and run-down during the day time. In his rough language and with a voice that has definetly been shaped by alcohol, he is reminiscing about about life and the fact that since we are born we can never really decide what we really want to eat. Concluding standing in front of a shady looking bar and telling to the camera that what life really wants is you to drink!

The Goldene Handschuh is the most Iconic Pub in the popular neighbourhood of St. Pauli, in Hamburg. It’s he only pub that never closes. It’s 24/7 open and it’s all about getting drunk.
The pub is so iconic that In February, 2019 the popular German film director Fatih Akin premiered „Zum Golden Handschuh“ a film based on real events about a serial killer from the 70s and his favorite bar: Zum Goldenen Handschuh.
Our protagonist is an iconic german actor as well. He is well known in Germany for his shady, conniving bad guys roles and his alcoholism problems in real life. He ist sober more than 20 Years.

You’re shat out into the world and can’t even eat on your own. So they fill your mouth with mush.
You get older. Now you can eat by yourself, but have to eat what you mom dished out:
spinach, broccoli, salad.
Then one day you discover the other sex. But the other sex is only interested in: others.
So you exercise, nick protein bars, swallow creatine pills, gag down amino acid capsules …
And then the time comes when you don’t care:
you spend the day dreaming… of Argentinian steaks, Ligurian lobster tails and… quickly notice that you can’t, in no way can’t afford any of it.
And then you get a job. And the money. And the girl. But she doesn’t want you to eat what you want to eat. So eat what she wants: spinach, broccoli, salad.
Then one day she’s gone. And so are your teeth. You have mush in your mouth again. And slowly it dawns on you: Life doesn’t want you to eat. Life wants you to drink.
