The films tells a life story of a real person, Robert Durukhanian, a "Sound Master" who has been working as an folly artist since golden age of Georgian cinema and has done more then 200 movies in his life. He tells his story and his attitude towards "Sound and Human Voice"

Cultural / Context information for the jury

Georgian film was once a big production doing high budget movies. In those times folly sound was crucial to films therefore Robert Durukhanian was a very picturesque person, everybody knew about him. Doing lots of work. However, after soviet union collapse Georgian film stopped production and Robert's role in the film business decreased. Besides that he continued to work for way less salary as a folly artist, making more than 200 feature films. He is almost 80 years old now and he still works in the studio.

An old, cozy folly studio lights up as Robert Durukhanian, 80 years old folly artist enters. He checks props, taps mic and begans to work. He squeezes small bag full of flour to imitate the sound of footsteps inon a snow. Robert uses different props to imitate different sounds. He taps his fingers on wet cloth to imitate rain drops, projecting on a big monitor in front of him. He hits two scissors against each other to recreate the sound of a clock. He does sound of wind, sound of fire . . . But when the shot of human being comes up, he watches quietly, since there are no tools to replace the sound of Human being.
