Snellman is a family business in Finland. Its roots are in Pietarsaari, a small town in the Ostrobothnia region of Finland. Unlike its competitors, Atria Group and HK Scan, leading meat companies in Northern Europe, Snellman is operating only in single-market, Finland, with smaller resources.
But there’s one thing which differs Snellman from others: Snellman always use pure, natural meat and ingredients without any unnecessary food additives, E-codes. Snellman was, for example, the first company to give up using monosodium glutamate (E621) and sodium tripolyphosphate (E451) in all their products.
