Write a short summary of what happens in the film
It is a normal day in The kindergarten. The kids are welcomed by the staff in the morning and they draw, read, go for a picnic, eat their lunchboxes, sing and play. The kindergarten employees are at work and appear as safe, playful, pedagogically, and normal caring adults. But something is different from what we expect from authorities taking care of our children. They drink alcohol all through the day and toast with each other and the children. They are not drunk, they appear as we expect from people working in a kindergarten.
Please tell us about the social behaviour that inspired the work
Most parents have very different alcohol standards when it comes to people looking after
their children than they do to themselves. Having the caretakers in your child's kindergarten drink on the job? That's scandalous! What if something happens? After all, it doesn't take much for our responsiveness to weaken. Yet we have no problem enjoying a beer in similar situations ourselves - even though no one is more responsible for our children than we the parents. By using our film to showcase these double standards, we wanted to inspire parents to think one more time themselves too, before grabbing that extra beer in front of their children.
