Write a short summary of what happens in the film
The National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE) is a french organisation existing since 1946. Their role is to prepare us to face our future. But this latter has been compromised according to GIEC’S estimates which announced that from now to 2050 the global warming would increase of 2 degrees. In recent years, many experts have been suggesting a probable future on others planets. However, while this may make many people fantasise, it is an intangible solution. In a film, INRAE takes us through a series of exoplanets and their likelihood of meeting criteria fundamental to human life. In conclusion our future is definitely on Earth, so we have to take care of it. It's a call to collective awareness in a tone that is both alarming and hopeful. The campaign has generated strong emotions across the world and space.
Please tell us about the social behaviour that inspired the work
Today, our society is driven by a surge of consciousness due to the many ecological disasters around the world.
Indeed, what previously sounded only as a warning does indeed exist and is wreaking havoc that will soon be irreversible.
People are becoming aware of this and are trying to act for the planet in their own way: share on social networks, stop fast fashion, eat better, consume better ...
But still faced with these very concrete ecological catastrophes, still too many people act as if they were only distant mirages and delude themselves into the idea that our future could be elsewhere ... Some indeed promise a probable future on another planet but our future is here.
