Write a short summary of what happens in the film
We open with a bespoke poem from renowned British poet Deanna Rodger. As Rodger’s inspirational verse takes off, we see a young girl in a tunnel with a football under her arm. A light shines on her face as the tunnel is filled with projections of a crowd and heroes from the women's game. She begins to dribble alongside them, mimicking passes and flicking the ball over her head. Back and forth they go with the ball flitting between the tunnel and the projection. A silhouette, she dashes alongside them with every stride getting closer to the goal. Simultaneously the ball is struck by both the girl and the projection as it flies into the net. She stands in awe of her heroes celebrating, as names of living legends in women’s football are projected onto her back. One day that pitch, those trophies, and those moments, will belong to her.
Cultural / Context information for the jury
Day by day, women’s football grows in stature. Yet it is still a long way off in terms of the coverage and exposure that the men’s game receives. With FIFA being the governing body for all of football—regardless of gender—it is a serious matter of significance that they better highlight the female side of football. With a record-breaking 1.12 billion viewers for the 2019 Women's World Cup, and Sky Sports in the UK making the Women’s Super League one of its flagship offerings in 2021, progress is coming thick and fast. Despite this, there is still a lot of catching up to do, with the men’s game receiving far more resources and attention. To combat this FIFA must produce their own hero content, such as A State Of Passion, that will serve to bridge the gap and contribute to the upward trajectory of women’s football worldwide.

They may think that you can’t kick ball,
That your traits and inabilities are too small
They might ignore your speed and strengths
But your passion for football,
Can’t be denied
You are in awe of the women who win
Icons who never gives up
Whose love for the game
Overroad all restriction and cord for fair alls for free from exclusion
This is a state of passion and it is yours to be yourself and find yourself and others like you
To chase and defend, and tackle and fall and get up
To scream and sweat and demand for more
This is just one point on the history score board
There were leagues to be won and divisions to overcome
There were rights to be protected and gained
But things were never going to be the same
This is for you my girl, for us
And to anybody who believes that this game is for everyone
On the pitch is where we belong
