Write a short summary of what happens in the film
A film using our lockdown experience to talk about that other lockdown.
Cultural / Context information for the jury
Living in quarantine for months has opened our eyes to how involuntary confinement affects our mental wellbeing. How losing a sense of freedom truly changes who we are and how we feel. And now as we’re slowly coming out of our lockdown as a society, it’s time to reflect on that other lockdown. The one of billions of animals around the world enduring a life of confinement because of the choices we as humans make for our clothing, furniture, medicines, meals and entertainment.

Freedom.
Remember when we briefly lost it?
Stuck inside these walls, stuck in our minds.
Isolated and lonely, but we weren’t the only ones.
Now imagine being confined with no hope of escaping.
Locked down not to save lives… but for a life of exploitation.
We’re up to 99% related yet we still can’t relate to them.
We’ve been here.
We’ve shared this, for a brief moment, what it’s like to feel trapped.
To feel every cell in our body wanting to push outwards,
So we tried to ignore the monotony we were in.
Pacing back and forth and back again.
And we faced this struggle we were put through.
Knowing our loved ones were struggling too.
We’ve been here.
For just a brief moment in time we’ve shared this.
So as we come out of lockdown,
can we come together to end theirs?
