Write a short summary of what happens in the film
A diabetes diagnosis affects many lives significantly. This ad shows that help is out there. The spot shows all the dietary restrictions for a diabetic, people keep trying to eat or drink curtain things and the voice over saying no to all the foods and drinks. The no’s start calmly but then very quickly becomes intense and develops a claustrophobic atmosphere. Right at the climax of the chaos then there is a sudden calm and the viewer is presented with Freestyle. The final shot is a gentleman being asked if he knows what he wants to order and he confidently is able to say yes.
Tell the jury about the elements of sound design.
We were tasked with creating a audio crescendo through original sound design, foley and dialogue editing to drive the narrative of the film. We worked closely with the director and editor, crafting the audio sound scape through the use of foley and creating SFX from scratch.
