Write a short summary of what happens in the film
The film features the car in a futuristic setting where our main character enters a café and slips on a VR headset which catapults him into a recharging futuristic game. He selects the Kuga model of his choice and cruises through a city where the boundaries between reality and virtuality merge seamlessly.
Cultural / Context information for the jury
The story is divided in 3 different game levels that represents the three different levels of electricity the new Ford Kuga can be purchased. From MHEV to fully electric.
Tell the jury anything relevant about the edit. Do not name the editor.
Setting a balanced pace for our edit was vital to our storytelling aspect and for establishing the general stylistic feel of the Kuga film. Our film is massively composed from computer generated scenes since the story happens in a futuristic/surreal world where the vehicle is driving from different “levels” symbolizing the three different levels of electric powertrains the car can be purchased. To feel like a re-energizing and smooth journey, we mixed and balanced the energetic pace of the imagery with longer and smoother scenes sequences.
