Write a short summary of what happens in the film
The film features the car in a futuristic setting where our main character enters a café and slips on a VR headset which catapults him into a recharging futuristic game. He selects the Kuga model of his choice and cruises through a city where the boundaries between reality and virtuality merge seamlessly.
Cultural / Context information for the jury
The story is divided in 3 different game levels that represents the three different levels of electricity the new Ford Kuga can be purchased. From MHEV to fully electric.
Tell the jury about the visual effects and summarise any relevant challenges or techniques.
A wide range of visual effects and techniques were used to manufacture the 70 VFX shots of the film, which took 45 days of production. From concept, previs to computer generated city extensions, cars, digital doubles, to cloud simulations, photogrammetry scans, a whole voxel 80s homage and last but not least an insane full CGI looping - we did what we could and more to create the surreal aspect the imagery needed for this production.
