Cultural / Context information for the jury
With the launch of its evolved positioning, DDB worldwide asked its network to bring to life the new tagline: Unexpected Works. DDB Paris was finally chosen to create this new brand identity for the entire network by delivering a poster campaign with unique designs that could echo in any country where DDB is present.
Tell the jury about the art direction.
The vibrant poster imagery was basically inspired by multidisciplinary graphic design but mainly focusing on type design to illustrate the power of those two words, Unexpected Works, through visual expressions that constantly reinvent themselves - literally unexpected. The only criteria was to respect the mood created: playful, joyful and colorful to illustrate this new positioning, by making it as beautiful as intelligent.
