Write a short summary of what happens in the radio or audio work.
When August was six years old he was diagnosed with leukemia, the first sign was that he became extremely tired, he didn’t even have the energy to play with friends. To tell this heartbreaking aspect of childhood cancer we made a small but significant change to the world famous song ”Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”.
In the original Disney song, Anna sings to her sister who is isolated from the world outside, asking her to come out and play. This time Anna sings the song to August, giving the lyrics a new meaning. The song to August was used in a radio commercial played on Swedish radio stations.
Translation. Provide a full English translation of any audio.
ANNA from the Disney movie Frozen starts singing through the door,
just like she does in the movie when she sings to her sister Elsa,
however this time she sings the song to August:
August?
Do you wanna build a snowman?
C'mon let's go and play!
I never see you anymore, come out the door, it's like you've gone away
We used to be best buddies and now we're not, I wish you would tell me why
Do you wanna build a snowman?
AUGUST hears the song and starts talking to the audience,
we hear is alone behind the closed door:
My name is August and I got cancer last Christmas.
Sometimes I don’t have the energy to come out and play with friends.
