Write a short summary of what happens in the film
The film documents a day in London where 61 strangers from all over the world gathered to reveal the project: “The World Piece” - the world’s biggest connecting tattoo.
In order to bring the world closer together brave participants offered their bodies as a canvas to send a message to the world. Now, for the first time ever, they are able to meet the other participants and discover the work of art in its whole, as the individual tattoos seamlessly connect from shoulder to shoulder creating a permanent bond between them all.
As they share their own personal reasons for being part of the project, we understand that we can connect just as human beings despite nationality, religion and skin-color. The world can’t fall apart if we dare to connect.
Cultural / Context information for the jury
As a global travel search site momondo has a vision of a world where our differences are a source of inspiration, not intolerance and prejudice. But in 2019, momondo commissioned a global study to explore the value of traveling, showing that 1 out of 2 think people are less tolerant toward other cultures than five years ago. So, we created the world’s biggest connected tattoo to bring the world closer together.
