Write a short summary of what happens in the film

Three miners are working in a dark and wet mine. All of a sudden they can hear voices; someone are talking behind the wall or at the other side of the rock. They are talking about their old television and how they should throw it away because it isn`t working. This does not hinder the miners from continuing their work and the use dynamite to create an explotion and a hole. When looking through the hole they have created the can peek into a typical modern Norwegian flat with a scared couple inside. One of the miners climb thorugh the hole and grabs the television, telling the modern couple; - You can not throw this away, there is valuable materials inside. Old electronics should be recycled! He grabs the remote controll, which is also electronics, and walks back to the mine.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

RENAS is a non-profit take-back company for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), and plays an important role in tackling what may become a crisis. Not everyone is aware that we are in the process of running out of several important and rare metals. These metals are vital to our ability to transition to a low-emissions society, as they are needed for batteries in cars and wind turbines, for example. An ever-increasing population is also contributing to the exponential growth in demand, in parallel with society becoming increasingly digital. This is why we constantly need more, and more types of, metals. The metals are often found in extremely small quantities in the earth’s crust, and extracting new raw materials often causes major environmental degradation. But the metals are also already present in a large number of electrical and electronic products, making it absolutely vital that such products are recycled so
