The main hero of the campaign is the CEO of a fictitious foreign start-up, who demonstrates why Bavaria is the ideal European base for tech companies of the future. Dressed up in traditional Bavarian Lederhosen, he leads us around his absurd company, hilariously mixing Bavarian clichés in a matter of fact manner with high-tech innovations like humanoid robots or autonomous delivery drones. The punchline: Don’t believe everything about Bavaria. Just believe the facts.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

Most people take it as fact that Bavaria means Oktoberfest, castles, beer and Lederhosen. We confront this largely fictional Bavaria with surprising facts, e.g. Bavaria as Europe´s top ICT hub. We employed these well-loved Bavarian clichés to grab our audience’s attention and change their perceptions.
