Write a short summary of what happens in the film
In the film, shot with hidden camera, we see Nike van Dinther, Germany’s famous feminist influencer, reading provocative and funny self help books in public and how other people react to it. The books are about how women can avoid the pension gap and overcome age poverty. Some of the titles are, among others: "Children, a plague", "Your first child at 70" , "Do it yourself penis prosthesis" or "Rip him off good". And at the end the message was always clear "Better good advice than bad self help."
Cultural / Context information for the jury
Germany has a real problem of great social relevance: the pension gap between men and women. In fact, women currently get only half as much pension as men and three out of four are facing poverty when they get retired.
The film was shot in Frankfurt, during the "Frankfurter Buchmesse". Europe's biggest book fair. The perfect setting, since the fair is the world’s best-known event for print and digital content and at this time of the year, everyone in Germany is talking about books. Fun fact: The motto of this year's Frankfurt Book Fair was: "Ideas that move the world".
