Tell the jury about the creation of the original music track.
As the film had a strong visual look and feel that was part Hollywood comic live action and part anime, we needed a track that would blend the two and enhance the visuals.
We explored the musical influences of each genre - Hollywood comic genre films and their pop/hiphop inspired soundtracks and the classic anime movies with their traditional strings and synths.
This formed the base of our track - a Hip hop beat with Asian synth instrumentation added to create a jagged dynamic rhythm, to drive the live action and complement the animation.
We then wanted vocals to complement our heroes as they battled it out on screen, so we enlisted two Chinese rappers to battle it out in the recording booth.
With them riffing off one another, like Neymar and Emily riff off one another in the fight scenes, before combining their talents at the end.
Write a short summary of what happens in the film
The live action anime film sees Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr. and model and Actress Emily Ratajkowski battle it out against the uptight ‘Stiff Jeans Zombies’ in a post-apocalyptic futuristic world. Wearing the new Replay Hyperflex+ full 3D stretch Jeans, Neymar Jr. and Emily Ratajkowski use there newly enhanced high kicking kung-fu flexible capabilities to defeat the conformist evils of fashion and bring some style back to the streets.
