As our superheroes needed to be shown as kung-Fu specialists, anime felt like the perfect genre to use. Following the traditions of Japanese Anime, every frame of animation was drawn by hand, with 24 frames dawn per second. By doing so we were able to create a 3D effect, adding more depth to what is otherwise a 2D visual, allowing us to demonstrate the 3D stretch of the jeans with every roundhouse kick and high flying leap. Original Anime background motion techniques were also used to create speed and dynamism within the action.
The use of animation was not only an aesthetic choice but a practical one.
Knowing we had a short period of time with our star talent we decided to blend the live action with animation, allowing us to visually heighten the ability of our hero talent from superstar footballer and model to superheroes.
Write a short summary of what happens in the film
The live action anime film sees Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr. and model and Actress Emily Ratajkowski battle it out against the uptight ‘Stiff Jeans Zombies’ in a post-apocalyptic futuristic world. Wearing the new Replay Hyperflex+ full 3D stretch Jeans, Neymar Jr. and Emily Ratajkowski use there newly enhanced high kicking kung-fu flexible capabilities to defeat the conformist evils of fashion and bring some style back to the streets.
