Tell the jury anything relevant about the cinematography.
Every frame (composition, colours and light) was designed to repeat 17th century dutch still life paintings.
Write a short summary of what happens in the film
Rembrandt Van Rijn passed away on 4th October, 1669, in a modest house located in a jewish neighbourhood on the outskirts of Amsterdam. By then, most of his property had been already auctioned off.
The artist refused to pander to a painting manner, that was meant to flatter the clients. He was unable to leave hardly any inheritance, but left a great heritage, that still astonishes the world.
Sberbank, the oldest and the biggest bank in Russia, honored the great artist’s memory and invited the audience to discover his heritage in the exhibition “The Age of Rembrandt and Vermeer. Masterpieces of The Leiden Collection”.
