Cultural/Context information for the jury
In 2018, BMW released a new version of its all-electric i3 model. Its improved battery pack provides a 30% increase in range compared to its predecessor. The extension of the range also extended the car's appeal: Whereas previous i3 models were mainly marketed to people living in cities with convenient access to a dense network of charging stations, the enhancements to the new BMW i3 made it suitable for those living outside the core urban areas as well. Letting them enjoy a car that's not only sustainable, but also a pleasure to drive.
