Write a short summary of what happens in the ambient or digital execution or campaign.
Nolla, named after the Finnish word ‘zero’, is a modular cabin that leaves behind nothing. It is self-sufficient and functions entirely on renewable energy, thus generating minimal to zero emissions.
The unique outdoor experience has been built using sustainable materials and it can be moved to new locations without leaving a trace. Its first home was a unique island just outside the city of Helsinki.
Nolla features solar panels, a stove that runs on renewable fuel and a heat reflecting mirrored roof. Even the boats taking people to see it were converted to run on renewable fuel.
The unique outdoor experience was listed on Airbnb and it booked full for the entire year in minutes.
Now, more cabins are joining the original on the island, and production of has started. Nolla was originally an outdoor ad, but it has since become a permanent living solution – with zero emissions.
Cultural/Context information for the jury
People are unaware of the sustainable alternatives available today. Especially the concept of replacing renewable fuels with fossils is not widely understood. In order for larger corporations to replace fossils with renewable products, we decided to showcase renewable products in action.
