Write a short summary of what happens in the film

The film documents the collaborative process that gave life to a unique, musical experiment. Presenting the thoughts and influences of acclaimed artist and composer, Mira Calix – the film depicts a marriage of art, science, and technology. Using ultrasound to capture the movements of six unborn babies, audiences are shown how the resulting data is turned into audio frequencies – forming the basis for Calix’s musical interpretation and the campaign film’s installation-based, visual narrative.

2018 marks the 350th anniversary of science and technology company, Merck. But instead of looking back on its long and successful history, the company focused on the future – celebrating the innovations and collaborations that will define the next 350 years of human progress. Relevant science and technology audiences across the globe were made aware of the company’s anniversary celebrations in the lead up to the project’s launch. The project is part of an ongoing initiative, which aims to shift perceptions of the Merck brand from classic pharmaceuticals to vibrant science and technology.
